CCMEP Summer Employmnet

The Trumbull County Summer Youth Employment Program has many changes from years past. 

If you are 14 to 24, you will be potentially able to work in our 8 week summer employment program, but you will be placed in a work environment that will teach you the job skills necessary to reach your career goals.  After your paid program, you will continue to work with your case manager throughout the year.  The case manager is there to help you through life’s obstacles.  The case manager will be your guide on your career path and be your job coach.   This will also give you priority in participation in the program next year.

What do I need to apply?

You will need to bring in your photo ID, birth certificate, social security card, household income for the last 30 days, most recent report card.  Your parent must also be present with you if you are 18 or younger and will be required to attend for the entire interview process.

When to Apply

Tentative Intake application dates to be held at Trumbull County Department of Job and Family Services/ OhioMeansJobs, 280 North Park Avenue, Warren, Ohio 44481 on:

Saturday, March 10 from 9am -10:30am
Saturday, March 24 from 9am -10:30am
Saturday, April 14 from 9am -10:30am
Saturday, April 28 from 9am -10:30am
Saturday, May 19 from 9am -10:30am

** Dates are subject to change please check back closer to time for definite dates

When you apply, you will complete the initial paperwork along with your IOP and assessment.  All participants will then be required to take a TABE test which will begin at 11am each Saturday. 

When is the program?

This year’s summer program is tentatively scheduled to run Monday, June 11, 2018 through Friday, August 3, 2018. 
You will be off for July 4th but will not be paid for this day.

Hours and pay

You will work 30 hours per week at $8.50 per hour and will be paid biweekly
